Crime Stoppers: Armed robbery at RI vape shop nets $9K in goods, $650 in cash

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. (KWQC) - Rock Island Police responded to Essentials Vape at 3015 18th Ave. just before midnight on July 17 after two men — one armed with a handgun — robbed the business.

According to police, the two suspects, both dressed in all-dark clothing, entered the store and placed a brick at the front door to prevent it from closing. One of the men was armed with a black, Glock-style handgun. The pair stole $9,200 in merchandise and $647.94 in cash from the register.

Police have released the following descriptions of the suspects:

Suspect 1: Wearing an orange shirt, a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, and black Jordan shoes with red or orange accents and a black face covering.
Suspect 2: Wearing clear disposable gloves, a dark face covering, a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark pants with a longer white T-shirt underneath, and carrying a black duffel bag with a yellow Adidas logo.
