Savanna’s Ann Zink honored with Hometown Hero Award

SAVANNA, Illinois (KWQC) - SERVPRO and KWQC surprised Ann Zink with the Hometown Hero award in appreciation of her service to others in her community. Zink spends much of her time volunteering at the Savanna Museum and Cultural Center. She also runs the Savanna food pantry and volunteers lots of hours at the thrift store. She even crochets outfits for newborn babies from other countries.

“I like to help people and I just I’ve been blessed so much myself that you know with the food pantry and Carroll County Health Center and here at the museum in Savannah and the one in Mount Carroll” said Zink.

“I love talking to other people and meeting new people and just being able to, hear their stories and, help them out and make sure that everybody’s happy” she said.
