Motorcyclist taken to hospital with life threatening injuries after crash in Davenport
A motorcyclist is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after a motorcycle accident overnight into Monday morning in Davenport.
Police say they were called to the intersection of East 4th Street and East River Drive shortly before 12 a.m. for a report of an accident. Police say only one vehicle was involved.
The crash involved a motorcycle that was driven by someone who attempted to turn right onto East 4th Street and lost control. Police have not released the driver's name at this time.
The driver was taken to the hospital locally and was then taken to the University of Iowa Hospital with serious life-threatening injuries.
The crash is being investigated by the Davenport Police Traffic Safety Unity and no further information is being released at this time. Further information will be released once it becomes available.
