Owner of Frank’s Pizza dies, family shares

SILVIS, Ill. (KWQC) - Frank’s Pizza is a retro staple in the Quad Cities community, located in the heart of downtown Silvis, that’s been serving Quad City style pizza, pasta and sandwiches since 1955.

Wednesday, the Serra family shared that the owner of Frank’s Pizza, Frank Anthony Serra Jr. passed away.

“It’s a very sad time for the Serra family,” a Facebook post shared. “The sudden loss of a man who meant so much to so many people. Thank you or all the kind words and the great stories. Please keep the Serra family in your thoughts and prayers.

All of our family and staff would like to attend the services, therefore, we will be closed on Tuesday, March 18. We will re-open Wednesday, March 19 at 4 p.m.”

Frank’s Pizza is located at 711 1st Avenue in Silvis.
