Davenport North High School renovation plans approved

DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - Renovations at Davenport North High School are one step closer to reality after Tuesday night’s board meeting.

The Davenport School Board approved plans and specifications for the North High School Additions and Renovations project.

Renovations at North will largely be focused inside the building and will be done in chunks.

Construction is expected to cost $28 million, according to a school board document.

Bidding on the project will start on July 24 and will be awarded during the August 11 school board meeting.

Work is expected to be substantially finished by July 30, 2027.
