Quad Cities resident cheers on Bix 7 runners for 4th year

DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - Quad City native Henry Hodges has volunteered at the Bix 7 for the past four years.

Hodges said he hopes that his cheering motivates runners to finish the race.

“That’s the point I am trying to make...to help as many people as I can. I mean […] every handshake, every high five, it’s worth something to me," Hodges said.

Despite the rain thousands of runners took to the streets of Davenport for the 51st running of the Quad City Times Bix 7.
