51st running of the Bix 7 sees over 14K participants

DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - The 51st running of the Bix 7 had a rainy start Saturday morning.

But according to Race Director Michelle Juehring, that didn’t stop the fun:

• 14,550 total runners overall
• 255 runners did the race virtually
• 10 countries were represented including the United States, United Kingdom, France, Canada, Kenya, Eritrea, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland and Mexico

Juehring said although some bands had to cancel due to the weather, volunteers and homeowners along the course were out in record numbers.
