Davenport Fire Department investigating car fire

The Davenport Fire Department is investigating after a car caught fire, Friday night.

DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - The Davenport Fire Department is investigating after a car caught fire, Friday night.

Around 8:13 p.m., a KWQC TV6 crew arrived on-scene and could see damage to a red car parked on Pershing Avenue, near Boost Mobile.

Crews on scene told KWQC that they were investigating what caused the fire.

A neighbor nearby told KWQC that they heard a “boom,” looked out their window and saw the vehicle in flames.

KWQC TV6 has reached out to the Davenport Fire Department for more information on this incident.
