Traffic Alert: I-80 West, U.S. 6 East reopen after crash

CORALVILLE, Iowa (KWQC) - I-80 West and U.S. 6 East reopened after a crash Monday night.

I-80 West reopened at about 12:33 a.m. on Tuesday, according to Iowa 511.

KCRG-TV9, KWQC’s Cedar Rapid’s affiliate, was reporting that U.S. 6 East was reopen Tuesday morning.

Iowa State Patrol told KCRG-TV9 no one was injured.

At about 12:53 a.m. Tuesday U.S. 6 East was blocked between I-380 and I-80 (Coralville) due to emergency vehicles.

Officials said a detour was in place.

A semi-tractor trailer could be seen blocking the road along with multiple emergency vehicles around 11:40 p.m. according to Iowa 511 traffic cameras.

Another semi-trailer appeared to be on its side below the bridge. KWQC does not know if this is a separate crash or not.
