3 Davenport men and a woman charged with rioting

DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - Three Davenport men and a woman were charged with rioting after police said they were involved in a fight at a bar.

Nickey Morgan, 42, Jaylin Morgan, 28, Jamel Williams, 45, and Xzavier Dodd, 25, are all charged with felony participation in a riot, according to court documents.

Nickey Morgan and Williams are also charged with assault on persons in certain occupations

Nickey and Jaylin Morgan are charged with interference with official acts.

Williams is also charged with interference with official acts bodily injury.

Dodd and Nickey Morgan are also charged with possession of a controlled substance, first offense.

Dodd is also charged with providing false identification and Nickey Morgan is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Davenport Police officers went to The Spot Bar, in the 1100 block of Mound Street for a large fight around 1:45 a.m. on Sunday.

At the bar, Nickey Morgan shoved a police officer and resisted after being told she was under arrest, officials said.

Jaylin Morgan and Williams intervened to stop officers from arresting Nickey Morgan, police said. Williams shoved an officer, swung at him and missed.

Officials said an officer hurt his hand because Williams resisted.

While sitting in the backseat of a squad car, officials said Nickey Morgan was seen throwing away a hairclip containing a folded dollar bill.

Police said a white powder substance, that tested positive for cocaine, was found inside the dollar bill.

Officials said she had 1.30 grams of cocaine and there was also cocaine residue on the hairclip.

Dodd told police he was involved in the fight and when asked to identify himself, officials said he gave them a false identity.

When he was searched at the jail, staff found a tablet of ecstasy in his pocket.

Jaylin Morgan and Williams bonded out of the Scott County Jail Sunday morning, according to the jail’s website. Nickey Morgan was released from the jail Sunday morning as well.

Williams has a preliminary hearing on March 10, according to court documents.

Nickey and Jaylin Morgan do not have a preliminary hearing scheduled at this time.

Dodd is still in the Scott County Jail and has a preliminary hearing on March 10.
