Crime Stoppers: Reward upped to $7K for arrest in fatal motorcycle crash

DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - Crime Stoppers has increased the reward for the arrest of 41-year-old Alex Uthoff to $7,000.

Crime Stoppers announced that a private donor has added $5,000 to the original $2,000 reward, bringing the total to $7,000 for any anonymous tip that leads to Uthoff’s arrest.

Officials said Uthoff was driving his motorcycle recklessly, lost control and crashed at 10:22 p.m. on May 26, 2025, in the area of 49th and Pine streets.

Uthoff’s passenger, 31-year-old Samantha Burke, was killed, officials said.

Uthoff is wanted on charges of homicide by vehicle, OWI-homicide by vehicle and reckless driving-serious injury by vehicle.
