BETTENDORF, Iowa (KWQC) -A new creative space has opened in the Bett Plex area offering hands‑on art experiences for children and adults.

SunShine Arts Studio, located at 5043 Competition Drive, provides classes, workshops, camps and drop‑in activities designed for all ages and ability levels.

The studio features a variety of interactive stations, including a mosaic bar where visitors can paint or create their own mosaic pieces.

Weekly programming includes children’s Open Studio sessions at 9 a.m. on Saturdays, offering sensory bins, painting stations and guided creative activities for toddlers and young artists. The cost is $20 per child.

Additional offerings include summer camps, team‑building events, private parties and a weekly paint‑and‑sip night on Thursdays.

The studio also operates a Splatter Paint Room with a black‑light environment where participants can create neon artwork in an immersive setting.

SunShine Arts Studio is owned by Jelena Todorovich, a longtime elementary art educator and artist who grew up in Bishop Hill and studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. The studio is building toward a formal grand opening in early June.
