DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) -Figge Art Museum has announced that the facility will be offering free admission for the entire month of July.
Free Admission July is possible thanks to the generosity of Cal and Jill Warner—creating a wonderful opportunity for families to include the Figge as part of planning summer fun into their schedules.
Once inside, visitors can do it all including a chance (during its final month at the Figge) to see Preston Singletary: Raven and the Box of Daylight.
Beyond the galleries, the art museum has several free programs happening during that period including
- Big Picture in The House: a free drop-in summer program offered every Wednesday in July from 1 to 3 p.m. featuring make-and-take art activities in the lobby. Drop-ins are welcome.
- The cArt!: Find our their art cart in selected galleries this July for in-depth conversations about art such as books, objects, gallery games and information. These items along with a trained docent will be available for guests to explore art topics in new ways every Tuesday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Closed on July 4.
- America 250: July 9, 16, 23, and 30 from 6 to 8 p.m. It’s a chance to join at 6 p.m. in the auditorium to hear from various American Artists and their works currently on display.
Figge Art Museum is located at 225 West 2nd Street in Davenport. The phone number is 563-345-6647.
