Need to rehome a plant? Quad City Botanical Center is taking donations now
Donated plants and other garden items are being accepted through Sept. 30 as a lead up to the Great Garden Cleanout fundraiser.
ROCK ISLAND, Ill. (KWQC) -The Quad City Botanical Center announces it’s plant‑drop‑off time, when the annual two‑week adoption window is open through Sept. 30.
Throughout the year, the botanical hub receives many calls and messages from people who are looking to rehome a plant for various reasons.
From now through Wednesday, plants are being accepted. Donations can be dropped off during general admission hours.
Whether it is a big plant, small plant, happy or mad plant, or even cuttings, Quad City Botanical Center is interested.
Additionally, they will accept donations of all garden-related items such as pots, garden tools, decor, grow lights or other items.
In turn, QCBC will find a new home for donated plants and garden items during the Great Garden Cleanout set for Oct. 1 from 4 to 7 p.m.
Proceeds from this annual fundraiser go right back into educational programming and serving our mission of bringing people and plants together.
