10th annual Alternating Currents launches wide‑ranging open call for 2027

DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) -The planning is already underway for the 10th annual Alternating Currents set for Aug. 12-15, 2027.

2027 festival open call is officially live

As Alternating Currents looks ahead, organizers wish to open the door to an even more broad mix of experiences for attendees to see, hear, do and discover in downtown Davenport, Rock Island, and Bettendorf.

Obviously, the vest looking for the musicians, filmmakers, comedians, visual artists and other performers we are familiar with. But for the next outing, AC is committed to calling on dancers, writers, poets, podcasters, speakers, chefs, makers, health and wellness experiences, workshops, demonstrations, interactive projects and creative ideas that are unique, fresh and just different.

This means AC is looking for creators with something to share. If this is you are someone you know, please submit your idea or share this open call to others that would be perfect.

The Open Call is open to all, there’s no fee to submit and submissions are open through Dec. 31, 2026.
