DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - 4th Street in Davenport will officially transition into two-way traffic on Thursday.
According to Davenport Public Works, starting at 6 a.m., E 4th Street will no longer be a one-way between Harrison Street and River Drive.
Public works officials reported traffic signals along the route will be in flashing mode on Wednesday to help drivers prepare for the change. They will return to normal operation on Thursday.
They said crews also installed lighted message boards throughout the area. There will also be Davenport police officers stationed at the intersections on Thursday.
Crews spent the past two weeks painting, adding signage, and updating signals for the conversion.
