CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - KCRG-TV9 and The Gazette will host a debate between the Iowa Gubernatorial candidates, Democrat Rob Sand and Republican Zach Lahn.

The 90-minute debate will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27. KCRG anchor Beth Malicki and The Gazette’s Political Reporter Erin Murphy will moderate the debate.

How to watch

The candidates have faced off at previous debates hosted by KWQC in Davenport and KTIV in Sioux City. They have been asked various questions focusing on the economy, cost of living and more.

Sand’s campaign has focused heavily on bipartisanship and his experience tackling corruption as the state Auditor. If he wins in November, it’ll be the first time Iowa has elected a democratic governor in 20 years.
