About 40% of children in the U.S. have at least one cavity.

That's according to a new dental health study from the Centers For Disease Control.

It showed Hispanic youth had the highest number of total cavities but African Americans were most likely to have untreated tooth decay.

Cavities were more common among older children and those from low-income households.
