Police blow down door after domestic disturbance escalates

DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - A portion of West Locust Street was shut down by police after reports of gunfire and police blew open a door on the house on Wednesday night.

Davenport police said officers arrived at a home for a domestic disturbance with gunfire in the 900 block of West Locust at 10:24 p.m. Wednesday. The Emergency Services Team was called in to execute a search warrant, and officers were seen on the street around 11:30 p.m. with armor.

Around 12:30 a.m. on Thursday, KWQC saw police blow the home’s door open.

Police said it was a domestic disturbance that escalated and a single shot was fired. No injuries or property damage were reported by the bullet.

Police said they are investigating, but as of Thursday morning no arrest had been made.
