Meet Rock Island Co. Sheriff candidate: Jamie Shoemaker

DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - Early voting is already under way for the March Primary Election in Illinois. One of the bigger races we are following is for Rock Island County Sheriff with the current Sheriff, Darren Hart, retiring.

Four people are running--three Democrats and one Republican. Over the next few weeks, we are going to introduce you to each candidate to learn more about them.

We begin with Geneseo Police Detective Jamie Shoemaker, a Republican. She answered questions about her background, leadership style, and priorities for the department, should she be elected.

March 10th - Democrat Matt DeSmyter

March 11th - Democrat Timothy Gillette

March 16th - Democrat Marcus Herbert
