The charity raised $16.9 million during the 2025 PGA golf tournament, continuing to raise more every year.

The charity raised:

  • $14.1 million in 2023
  • $13.9 million in 2022
  • $12.5 million in 2021
  • $12.2 million in 2020 when the tournament was canceled.
  • $13.8 million in 2019

Five people correctly guessed 2,102 birdies, and one winner will receive a two-year lease of a car from Smart Lexus of the Quad Cities, the media release said.

Every year, people guess the number of birdies made during the JDC.

The $16.9 million raised includes a 9% bonus match for the 460 nonprofit organizations participating in the Birdies for Charity program, according to the media release.

Birdies for Charity said all donations go to charities because John Deere underwrites the program, and Deere also supports the bonus fund.

According to the media release, since 1971, the golf tournament has raised $206.5 million.
