Reserve spot to attend Figge’s unveiling of ‘Evanescent Field’ to win ultimate ‘GLOW Up’ experience

DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) -Figge Art Museum is excited to highlight the upcoming GLOW UP watch party for the unveiling of Evanescent Field set to be held on May 17 from 7 to 10 p.m.

The museum invites families to celebrate this historic moment with music, art, and family-friendly fun on the plaza and inside the museum.

The Free Public Party kicks off at 7 p.m. happening both inside and outside of the facility. It will feature free admission to the Figge’s galleries until 8:30 p.m.

The outdoor celebration continues until 10 p.m. on the plaza with live music and entertainment, food vendors, a community art project, and more.

The actual unveiling of Evanescent Field is set to happen at 8:45 p.m., launching the Midwest’s newest landmark of light.

What is Evanescent Field?

Evanescent Field is a monumental light sculpture by internationally renowned artist Leo Villareal, designed to transform the entire exterior of the Figge Art Museum into a dynamic work of art.

With over 3,000 linear feet of color-changing LED lights and custom-coded light sequences, the work will envelop the museum in flowing patterns of color that respond to the Mississippi River, the city skyline, and even the passage of time.
