Four displaced after overnight house fire on West 8th Street in Davenport

DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - Four people are looking for a place to stay after an overnight house fire in Davenport.

Firefighters were called to a home on the 1400 block of West 8th Street just before 1 a.m., officials said. Crews arrived to find heavy flames on the back of the two-story house, which quickly spread inside to the kitchen.

No injuries were reported, but the fire displaced four residents who are now being helped by the Red Cross.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to call the Davenport Fire Marshal.
