FirstPlay program for baby brain development

DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) -Human interaction is crucial for brain development in the first days and months of a child’s life. And it’s also important for social and mental behavior down the road.

Vera French Mental Health Center is offering a new program to help make sure parents are doing everything they can to get their child off to a good start. It’s called FirstPlay and a therapist will walk parents through important steps, like storytelling, to instill confidence and resiliency in their child.

The program is open to all families and there are no eligibility requirements.
